Kingfisher commences two new flights between UAE, India

India's leading private air carrier Kingfisher Airlines has launched two new international flights connecting the UAE to New Delhi and Mumbai.

Mohali airport to be built in 4 phases

The Chandigarh International Airport in Mohali will be built in four phases and the first phase is likely to be completed by 2013. The airport is being built jointly by Punjab, Haryana and the Airports Authority of India (AAI).

AirAsia launches Chennai - Penang Flights

AirAsia has launched flights between Chennai in India and Penang in Malaysia.

Kathmandu-based Buddha Air has plans to start flights between Calcutta and the Nepalese capital.
Buddha Air has been designated by the Nepalese government to operate flights to India following a revised air service agreement between the two countries.

Kingfisher Airlines cancelled its flights to London for the second consecutive day on Friday while Air India rescheduled its flights to London, Toronto and New York as airspace was closed over several North European airports due to drifting ash from a volcano in Iceland.

Low-cost carriers fly high on capacity
